Wednesday Words: William Wallace

“Fight and you may die.

Run and you will live, at least a while.

And dying in your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here as young men and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they will never take our freedom!!!”

  1. Hey Megan – Did you see the movie ‘Braveheart’? Something interesting is that I know the man who wrote it – Randall Wallace! He & his family went to my church when we were in high school and his sister and I were very good friends. Lynchburg, where he grew up, had a huge day-long party for him a few years ago and it was a BIG deal. The story was actually about his family and though partly true, was also fiction. William Wallace was one of his ancestors MANY years ago. I have a new book of Randy’s now which I have just started reading, The Touch, which is about a Dr. I thought you might enjoy this ‘connection’ – makes it even MORE interesting, I think!
