Weekend Writings, Monday Musings et cetera, et cetera…

The King and I… I am speechless.

I am so full of happiness right now.

This musical has been a very, very, very, did I say VERY wonderful time. :) I’ve gotten to know so many more people, deepened my existing relationships, and had a fabulous time. We could not have done this without the awesome stage crew and Miss Bonnie and Mrs. L… We owe so much to their love and dedication!

I’ve seen God work so much in myself and in my friends through these several months of being together so much. The three major ways I’ve seen in myself have been 1) learning to let go of offenses, 2) not worrying or being stressed about things, and 3) attempting to love everyone despite their shortcomings. I’m so thankful to God for allowing me to participate in this! I will miss this when it’s over. I love each and every one of you and I am so, so, so blessed to be a part of this.

It’s been real, guys.

Monday Musings: No Fear

Don’t you worry, don’t you worry child

see Heaven’s got a plan for you

so don’t you worry, don’t you worry child…

No fear.

How many of us can say that we have no fear in our lives? Not me.

See, I worry even when I’m not thinking about it. I don’t really care what people think about me; I worry about other things. Everyone, somewhere inside them, worries about something. I’ve been discovering where exactly I fear and worry… it’s not necessarily noticeable on the outside, but in my heart I know exactly what I’m doing.

When we fear anything, we are putting it above God. We are elevating it to God-level, when really, all we need to fear is God himself.

Where do you fear? You might not even know. But if you ask the Lord to show you, he will, and he will change you. Faith, my friends, faith.

Don’t worry about life. Life will take care of itself (Matthew 6:34). You cannot add anything joyous to your day by worrying. (Matthew 6:27). So don’t worry about it! I have a little sign on my wall that says “Let it go.” Let your troubles go to God- He can handle it and you can’t.

Don’t worry about the inconveniences of life, or the opinions of others. Worry is like a rocking chair– it gives you something to do, but it doesn’t get you anywhere.

In conclusion, trust God. No fear.
